Blog Action Day: Throw Away the Trash

In honor of Blog Action Day, we are posting on a unified issue with most of the blogosphere . . . the environment. Our post is brief, but to the point. Keep mother earth clean and don’t throw your trash out your car window.

This planet provides you with the necessary resources to live (water, air and food) so the least you can do to show your appreciation is putting your trash where it belongs…a trashcan.

If you are a polluter, you probably are not going to stop spreading your trash around because the Riddle Brothers are blogging against it. But stop and think the next time you go to litter . . . why are you doing it? Are you helping anyone out in the process? Or just being a selfish lazy bum that can’t put their trash where it belongs?

This also goes for smokers who toss their cigarette butts out car windows. What a sad sight it is when you stop at a redlight, look out your driver’s side window only to see the ground covered in a thick layer of old, discarded cigarette butts. Show some class, stop being lazy and put your cigarette butt in an ash tray or proper disposal unit.

To quote The Aquabats covering the Kids of Widney High song “Throw Away the Trash”:

Throw away, throw away, throw away the trash
come on everybody, throw away the trash
throw away, throw away, throw away the trash
come on everybody, throw away the trash

I pick up the trash
and throw it away
If i see a slob
I stop and say hey!
